Berlin and Munich (HP&B Recap)

The third weekend of this year's Hot Peas & Butta Germany Tour is over and we definitely have to admit that it has been another great one. This time Skeme Richards, Scarce One and Selecta M paid both Berlin and Munich a visit to rock consecutive parties.

First, despite of the chilly weather, Germany's capital gave them a warm welcome. Being part of the first Wedding Soul weekender was a great pleasure as the line-up consisting of Hot Peas & Butta and Jazzanova DJ sets, an Ephemerals concert and a record and clothing flea market get togethter ("Kuchenplatte") easily tells. Everything was nice, from the excellent Chinese dinner with the family over the grimy, dark and smoky "Panke" venue to an enthusiastic crowd. We say thanks to Beatkollektiv for having us; it was dope!

The next day we caught quite an early morning train to take on that 6 hrs ride all the way down South to Munich which is not only the Bavarian epicenter of Funk music. After having arrived at Florian Keller's, the familar vibe and pleasant atmosphere instantly were on. This all carried over to the party itself which turned out to be a great night at Glockenbackwerkstatt. The intimate venue was packed and the party people didn't stop dancing from the beginning to the end while enjoying a well-rounded selection of funk, soul, disco and early rap. Thank you very much, Florian Keller and fam for making this happen. It was a pleasure to be part of "Funk Related". We enjoyed our stay to the max!

Another fresh weekend in the books. Another two ahead. Stay tuned for more on Hot Peas & Butta Germany 2015.
